💙 Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for helping maintain the facility, grounds, and equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. The Maintenance Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility.
  • Assist with upkeep of grounds, parking areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Replace light bulbs, maintain equipment, and perform general repairs.
  • Assist with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical maintenance as directed.
  • Follow maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and fire safety procedures.
  • Assist with moving equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and/or Administrator.

✅ Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two forms of Identification (Tribal ID, if claiming Indian Preference)
  • Vaccination Records
  • No experience required — on-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to work respectfully with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

This position may require standing, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions. Weekend, holiday, or alternate shift work may occasionally be required.
