đź’™ Position Overview
We are seeking a responsible and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. The Medication Aide assists in administering prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely delivery in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
This position plays a vital role in maintaining the health and comfort of our residents while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
đź§ Key Responsibilities

Safely prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications as ordered.

Verify proper labeling and storage of all medications.

Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report concerns immediately.

Record medication administration accurately in resident charts.

Measure and record vital signs as directed.

Assist with medication orders, returns, and discontinuations according to policy.

Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures.

Support residents’ rights, privacy, and dignity in all interactions.

Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding resident needs.

Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.
âś… Qualifications
-
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Medication Aide certification approved by the State of Nebraska.

Successful completion of a state-approved training program and competency exam.

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail.

Ability to make independent decisions and respond calmly in emergency situations.

Must be able to lift, move, or assist up to 50 lbs.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
