đź’™ Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. The Medication Aide assists in administering prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely delivery in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.

This position plays a vital role in maintaining the health and comfort of our residents while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.

đź§­ Key Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications as ordered.

  • Verify proper labeling and storage of all medications.

  • Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report concerns immediately.

  • Record medication administration accurately in resident charts.

  • Measure and record vital signs as directed.

  • Assist with medication orders, returns, and discontinuations according to policy.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures.

  • Support residents’ rights, privacy, and dignity in all interactions.

  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding resident needs.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.

âś… Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Medication Aide certification approved by the State of Nebraska.

  • Successful completion of a state-approved training program and competency exam.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

  • Compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail.

  • Ability to make independent decisions and respond calmly in emergency situations.

  • Must be able to lift, move, or assist up to 50 lbs.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
