The Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and dependable Morning Dietary Aide to join our team. OSLNH serves up to 72 residents and incorporates traditional Native foods and cultural preferences into our nutrition services.
Position Summary
The Morning Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, food service, kitchen sanitation, and resident dining support to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
Schedule
- Morning Shift
- Weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Flexible scheduling available
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare dining areas for breakfast and lunch service
- Assist cooks with meal preparation and plating
- Serve meals according to resident dietary requirements
- Deliver trays and beverages to residents as needed
- Assist residents with meal setup and dining support
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining rooms, and food preparation areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety and infection control procedures
- Properly store food and supplies
- Assist with special events, holiday meals, and cultural food activities
- Promote a positive dining experience for residents and guests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Food service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds
- Must pass background screening and comply with facility policies
